Accounts Assistant - Cookstown We are delighted to be partnering with a growing and well-established property investment and development business to recruit an Accounts Assistant for their finance team based in Cookstown. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and collaborative finance function supporting a diverse portfolio of property and development companies across the group. Reporting directly to a Finance Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in providing bookkeeping support, preparing year-end accounts, and assisting with wider financial reporting requirements.

This opportunity would suit an ambitious finance professional looking to further develop their career within a stable and expanding organisation.

Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of annual accounts for small and medium-sized companies, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and deadlines Support audit preparation and respond to audit queries Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns Submit statutory accounts to Companies House Complete cash book postings and maintain accurate records Carry out monthly bank reconciliations Manage the sales ledger, including debtor statement reconciliations Liaise with external agents and stakeholders as required Provide general finance support and assist with ad hoc duties as needed Who Were Looking For Qualified or part-qualified Accounts Technician (AAT or IATI) Minimum of 2 years experience within a busy finance environment Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Quick to adapt to different accounting systems and processes
