Accounts Technician – MRP

Our Finance Department provides group wide corporate support to property investment and development companies. Reporting directly into a Finance Manager your primary responsibility will be to provide bookkeeping support for the finance team and prepare year end accounts and financial statements for the wider MRP group.

• Assist in the preparation of annual accounts for small and medium companies ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and deadlines.
• Assist with audit preparation and queries raised during audit.
• Prepare Quarterly VAT Returns.
• Submission of accounts to Companies House.
• Cash Book postings.
• Monthly bank reconciliations.
• Liasing with external agents when required.
• Any other duties as required by management.
• Qualified or Part Qualified Accounts Technician (AAT or IATI).
• At least 2 years’ experience in a busy finance department.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrate a professional, collaborative approach, with an ability to build positive working relationships.
• Exhibit excellent organisational skills and attention to detail along with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet agreed deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Have the ability to quickly adapt to various sets of computerised accounts.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of appointment.
• Previous experience in statutory accounts using software such as Sage Accounts Production & Bright.
