The Role

As a Social Care Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, enabling them to achieve their personal goals and maximise their independence.

You will work as part of a dedicated team, supporting service users with daily living activities while promoting choice, dignity, rights, and inclusion within their local communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support tailored to individual needs
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities
• Promote independence, choice, dignity, and wellbeing
• Support individuals to achieve personal outcomes and goals
• Encourage participation in community and social activities
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and support documentation
• Administer medication in line with policies and procedures
• Complete risk assessments and care-related documentation
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory standards are maintained
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Support individuals using positive behaviour support approaches and least restrictive practices
• Contribute positively to a professional and supportive team culture

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Social Care or a related discipline

OR

• Minimum 1 year's experience in a similar setting such as:
  • Residential Care
  • Domiciliary Care
  • Supported Living
  • Learning Disability Services
  • Autism Services
  • Day Services
• NISCC Registration (or evidence of application where required)
• Full UK/ROI Driving Licence and access to transport for work purposes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable adults

Desirable

• Experience supporting individuals who may present with behaviours of concern
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and best practice frameworks
• Experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and electronic record systems
