VANRATH is excited to be working with a leading Construction company in Belfast to recruit a Bid Manager
.

Location: Cookstown Office
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with no weekend work required

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire bid process—from identifying relevant opportunities via procurement portals to delivering well-crafted, competitive proposals. You ll collaborate with senior leaders and subject matter experts to create persuasive submissions that effectively highlight the consultancy s strengths.

  • Actively scanning procurement platforms and other sources to uncover new tender opportunities.
  • Managing the end-to-end bid and tender submission process.
  • Developing and customising CVs, case studies, and capability statements for internal use.
  • Organising and updating a central repository of bid materials and templates.
  • Contributing to broader business development efforts and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Implementing and promoting best practices in bid management.
  • Laying the groundwork for and leading a dedicated bid team as the company expands.
What You ll Bring as a Successful Bid Manager

To be a strong candidate, you should have:

  • Proven experience managing bids within the Civil Engineering industry, ideally on the contractor side.
  • Outstanding writing, editing, and communication skills, with a sharp eye for detail.
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Confidence in working autonomously as well as collaboratively with senior stakeholders.
  • A commercially focused mindset with a passion for business development.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach and the ambition to grow alongside the company.
