Manufacturing Systems Engineer in Cookstown
Our busy Engineering client in the Cookstown area require a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join a busy Production Control team within a growing manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and improving production control systems, processes, and procedures to maximisesafety, quality, and delivery, while reducing manufacturing costs.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and improve production control systems.
- Ensure accuracy of BOMs, routings, and inventory data.
- Support ERP/MRP system performance and troubleshooting.
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean principles
- Analyse production data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support material flow and PFEP activities.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve issues.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Coordinate engineering changes into production.
- Provide day-to-day technical and operational support to production teams.
- Develop and maintain standard processes and procedures.
- Support monthly inventory control activities.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related discipline, or a minimum of 2 years' experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade C or above.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, SIGMANEST, or similar.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel for tracking and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- A good understanding of manufacturing processes and data systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, adaptable, and results-focused approach.
