MND moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every piece of support, every research project, every pound raised, every kind word, and every day lived well, matters.
About the roleAcross all of Northern Ireland, we offer direct support for people living with and affected by Motor Neurone Disease (‘MND’), every day.
Linked with a local Group Committee, a Support Meeting Co-ordinator helps facilitate regular local events which engage those who are living with and affected by MND.
Support Meeting Co-ordinators lead the organisation of local support events, such as coffee mornings, afternoon teas, support meetings, drop-ins and more, with the support of other local volunteers.
What does a Support Meeting Co-ordinator do?This role is highly flexible, and links closely with both MNDA Association staff and volunteers alike as a One Strong Team to drive impact through local co-ordination and communication.
This role will be key in linking place-specific co-ordinators with the national committee, championing our communities and providing general support to volunteers to host and attend events.
Time commitment and location are flexible and variable depending on individual capacity.
This role is recruited through Safer Recruitment processes, which means the process includes a short interview and two references.
Successful applicants will complete a structured induction pathway, with direct and ongoing support from their allocated Community Support Coordinator (CSC) who shall set up semi-regular check-ins.
