Stores Operative

Job Description Role Summary

As a Stores Operative you will play a critical role in maintaining the smooth operation of the warehouse, ensuring accurate handling, storage, and distribution of parts and components in compliance with business need.

• Support inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock management
• Manage parts and products, including all goods-in activities
• Conduct regular stock counts of materials, equipment, and supplies
• Identify and report discrepancies between physical stock and system records
• Assist the Purchasing Department with the receipt, control, and return of supplies
• Ensure all tools and equipment are signed out and returned in line with procedures
• Verify delivery notes to confirm they accurately reflect the products or services supplied
• Maintain accurate paperwork and update SAGE records for all goods received
• Monitor, track, and organise stock levels in line with workshop and site demand
• Identify and implement improvements and preventative actions where possible
• Liaise with Kanban suppliers to ensure stock levels and deliveries are accurate and up to date
