General Operative – Chemical Toilet Division
Join our team! As a General Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our portable toilets. Your efforts will directly contribute to enhancing the user experience and maintaining quality service.
What you will do:
- Inspection and cleaning of customer toilets in our specialist yard
- Following full training you will carry out basic repairs to ensure toilets are ready for hire
- Monitor consumable stock levels and advise management when running low
- Keep your work area organised and clean
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and comply with company policies.

Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 5pm, Friday 7.30am – 4pm. (part time hours will be considered)

Salary: £13.50 per hour

Hard Hat
It is recommended that head protection is worn when using particular types of equipment. Hard hats conforming to EN 397 are designed to protect the wearer against falling objects and other impacts.
Goggles
Eye protection conforming to EN 166 protects the wearer against particles or liquids entering the eye when operating certain types of equipment.
Gloves
Protective gloves should be used during manual handling to of abrasive or sharp objects, when working with vibrating equipment, during construction work or when working with chemicals and hazardous substances.
Ear Protection
Hearing protection is vital to guard against excessive noise. If the noise level is 85dB or higher, then hearing protection is usually mandatory in the workplace.
Footwear
It is recommended that foot protection is worn whilst using specific equipment. Safety footwear should comply with EN20345:2011 as a minimum.
Face Shield
Full face shields offer a wide area of protection against high speed flying particles or chemical splashes and because of the all round ventilation, remain mist free even in wide temperature swings.
Dusk Mask
A correct fitting facepiece should be worn when operating equipment where the user is subjected to increased levels of dust.
