The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the organization to patients visiting for diagnostic testing. This role is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and providing a professional and compassionate experience for each patient. The PSR II upholds accuracy, confidentiality, and process excellence, ensuring compliance with all safety and procedural standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform daily specimen collection and processing accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment.
- Follow all clinical and forensic specimen collection protocols.
- Verify patient identification and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
- Maintain required records and demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.
- Communicate clearly with patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
- Exhibit organizational commitment and a positive image toward patients and colleagues.
- Minimum three (3) years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Experience in a Patient Service Center or clinical setting.
- Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer service skills and patient interaction experience.
Experience:
- Two or more years in a Patient Service Center environment.
- Data entry or experience using laboratory information systems.
- Customer service in healthcare, retail, or related service industries.
- Advanced phlebotomy skills with pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.

- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for multi-site coverage.
