Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a teaching hospital's cardiac cath unit, requiring 2+ years of Cath Lab X-ray Tech experience and current ARRT and BLS credentials.
Responsibilities- Work in a cardiac catheterization laboratory within an acute care teaching hospital and Level 2 Trauma Center
- Department performs CV and PVD procedures including diagnostic and interventional angiograms, right and left heart catheterizations, ASD and PFO closures, and atherectomy
- Average daily caseload is 15 patients per tech
- Equipment includes C-Arm, with experience using GE, Phillips, Siemens, Med Rad, Excellian, and GE Mac Lab preferred
- Shift is 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with every third weekend required
- On-call is required as needed with a 30 minute response time
- Floating to nearby affiliate campuses required
- Responsibilities include assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures, scrubbing, circulating, and operating advanced imaging equipment
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team in a Level 2 trauma and teaching environment
- Scrubs are provided
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- Local candidates accepted
- RTO (request for time off) ideally limited to 5 days
- Candidates must have been separated from employment as staff or per diem for at least 3 months to be eligible to return
- No parking fees
- Minimum 2 years recent experience working in a cath lab as an X-ray Technologist
- Current ARRT and BLS required
- Scrub experience required, including scrub stenting and table driving
- Experience with coronary and peripheral angiograms, stents, PFO, ASD, atherectomy, EKOS, CSI, and rotablade required
- C-Arm operations required; experience with GE, Phillips, Siemens, Med Rad, Excellian, GE Mac Lab, Q-Site, and Synapse preferred
- Pending state license accepted; license required if applicable
- Supervisor reference required for consideration
- Epic (Excellian) charting experience preferred
