TKO Workforce Solutions/TKO Staffing Coon Rapids, MN

TKO Staffing is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Generalist to manage critical HR and payroll functions. This role will be responsible for overseeing payroll processing, benefits administration, I-9 compliance, new hire onboarding, unemployment communications, employment verifications, and general HR support functions. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and computer skills, the ability to work independently, and strong organizational abilities to ensure compliance and accuracy in all employee-related processes.

Key Responsibilities Payroll & Benefits Administration
  • Process payroll accurately and in compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and 401(k).
  • Manage benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Assist employees with payroll and benefits-related inquiries.
Onboarding & Compliance
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, ensuring the completion of required documentation, background checks, and drug screenings.
  • Verify and maintain accurate I-9 compliance and employment records.
  • Facilitate employment verifications and respond to state unemployment inquiries.
HR Administration & Organization
  • Maintain and organize employee files, ensuring document accuracy and compliance.
  • Communicate with employees over the weekend as needed to support onboarding or employment-related processes.
  • Ensure all HR-related data is up-to-date and properly filed.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 1+ years in payroll, benefits administration, or HR support.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in HRIS, payroll software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills (10/10 required).
  • Independence: Ability to work alone and handle responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Organization: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to respond to employee needs on weekends via calls, texts, or emails.
  • On-site role: Must be present in the office daily.
  • Independent Work: This position requires working alone, ensuring all HR and payroll processes run smoothly.
