• Follow work order procedures and routings; gather required tools and materials based on instructions, drawings, and specifications with minimum instruction/supervision.
• Set up welding jobs for yourself and occasionally for others.
• Repair and fabricate various items, fixtures, or equipment using cutting, grinding, and welding techniques with minimal instruction/supervision.
• Ensure parts are not damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage outside of tolerance.
• Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and the work area.
• Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered. Follow Control of Nonconforming Product Procedure.
• Follow procedures in relation to inspection of welded parts.
• Cross‑train in other areas of the plant as necessary to meet production demands.
• Adhere to all safety rules and guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to work from drawings and job layouts.
• Work independently with minimum supervision and direction.
• Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding.
• Good understanding of technical plans, drawings, models, and blueprints, especially weld symbols.
• Excellent ability to read and follow assignments given in a variety of forms.
• Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.
• Ability to measure parts with calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to use ruler, square, protractor, templates, gauges, etc.
• Good teamwork skills.
• Pass an AWS Certified welding test.

Salary: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour.
