Position Overview
One of our Partners, is seeking a locum tenens Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to support its outpatient Hematology and Medical Oncology program beginning March 9, 2026, through September 9, 2026. This is a part-time, scheduled outpatient role with no call responsibilities, ideal for an experienced oncology APP seeking predictable clinic work within a well-supported hospital system.
Provider Pay Ranking: Top 15% nationally for locum tenens Hematology/Oncology APP roles, based on 2025–2026 market data and comparable outpatient oncology APP locum assignments.
Assignment HighlightsContract Length: 26 weeks
Schedule: Minimum 2 shifts per week, 3 shifts preferred
Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8.5 hours)
Setting: Outpatient Hematology / Oncology clinic
Patients per Day: ~11–16
Call: None
Orientation: 4 hours (non-billable, facility policy)
EMR: EPIC
Observed holidays honored
Prepaid travel and lodging
Malpractice insurance provided
HPA Healthcare is a Joint Commission–certified agency
Provide outpatient hematology and medical oncology follow-up visits
Conduct patient assessments, treatment monitoring, and care coordination
Collaborate with oncologists, nursing staff, and support teams
Document encounters in EPIC
Support continuity of care and clinic efficiency
Certified Physician Assistant (or Nurse Practitioner)
Active Minnesota license required
Hematology/Oncology outpatient experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Comfortable working in a hospital-based specialty clinic
