ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND:
You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM). Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via the myTime mobile scheduling app) that work with your schedule.

Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary when you pick up shifts. You will be required to engage actively by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). If you do not respond to contact attempts or do not work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. After an offer, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule.

The myTime app is used to pick shifts you desire to work.

ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT:
Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Knowledgeable about in-store and digital services and solutions that drive adoption and loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring quality.

SKILLS AND EXPECTATIONS:

• Ability to stay focused and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Welcoming attitude toward guests and team members
• Attention to detail and the ability to educate guests about products and services
• Ability to operate handheld scanners and related technology, and work with store systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES (typical day):

• Deliver a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience
• Greet guests and assist with daily tasks
• Engage with guests to understand and solve their needs
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve issues and improve the guest experience
• Thank guests for shopping at Target
• Scan and bag items efficiently, adhering to safety standards
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Inform guests about brand launches, store events, and activities
• Explain Target Loyalty benefits and assist with enrollment; direct guests to fulfill, activate, and use services
• Demonstrate how to use Wallet and Target App features
• Process returns following policies, escalating to leaders as needed
• De-escalate situations and recover the guest experience per policies
• Provide easy, accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Stock supplies during store hours and stay available to guests
• Maintain safety and compliance; report hazards
• Support guest services such as order pickup and drive-up, and comply with laws (e.g., beverage regulations)
• Support cash office processes as needed
• All other duties based on business needs
