Job Overview
At Verus, we are seeking an Inside Sales Executive focused on expanding service utilization within existing accounts and driving upsell growth. In this role, you will develop strong client relationships by conducting regular business reviews, providing consultative insights, and proactively identifying gaps where Verus services can deliver added value. You’ll manage a defined book of business, working closely with service delivery teams to align client needs with our managed IT, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions, and also support the outside sales team in creating quotes, reconciling licensing, and handling other sales administrative tasks as needed.
There will be an opportunity to grow your own book of business in this role.
- Build relationships with existing clients through regular check-ins
- Identify and close upsell/cross-sell opportunities
- Educate clients on new services and industry trends (e.g., compliance, AI, cybersecurity)
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and pipeline in the HS CRM
- Collaborate with service delivery to ensure high customer satisfaction and renewal rates
- Track client health metrics and proactively prevent churn
- Support the outside salespeople in creating quotes, reconciling licensing, and other sales admin duties as needed
- Quote complicated IT product offerings with many SKUs
- Assist in proposal creation
Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of inside sales or account management experience, preferably in IT, MSP, or SaaS
- Familiarity with MSP offerings: firewalls, cloud services, remote monitoring, cybersecurity
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- CRM experience (Hub Spot, Connect Wise)
- Ability to multitask and pivot as needed
- Desire to grow into a full sales or sales admin role
Ability to work primarily on‑site in an office setting. Standard use of office equipment and computers. Some travel may be required for client meetings and networking events.
Compensation & BenefitsCompensation is expected to start at $60,000 base salary, plus commission and SPIF, with an OTE $85,000 or more. Offer will be determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.
