Photography Student Assistant

• Capture and edit photographs of UW‑Madison buildings and employees
• Plan, frame, and shoot photos at specified locations with attention to detail
• Execute a variety of photo assignments, including architectural images and event coverage
• Organize and manage images post‑shoot, ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines
• Work independently and take initiative on creative photography assignments

• Basic understanding of photography principles
• Must possess personal digital camera equipment (phone not sufficient)
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong client focus
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Deadline‑oriented with a commitment to quality and efficiency

• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software
• Previous photography experience in an academic or professional setting
• Strong creative vision and ability to conceptualize photo assignments
• Background in media studies or related field
