We are seeking two full-time or part-time Medical Oncologists and/or Hematologists to join a prestigious cancer center, which serves as the primary provider of comprehensive cancer care along the southern coast of Oregon.
Position Overview- Accepting applications for both part-time (48 hours per pay period) and full-time (80 hours per pay period) positions.
- Candidates must be Board Eligible (within 2 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology.
- Preference will be given to those with experience in Radiation Oncology; however, recent graduates with strong academic backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
- The patient demographic consists of approximately 20% Hematology and 80% Oncology.
- On average, the clinic operates with 10-15 patients per day, providing care exclusively through outpatient services at a state‑of‑the‑art free‑standing cancer center.
- There are no inpatient consults; the focus is on outpatient clinic visits and collaborative infusion services.
- The center features a new 19‑chair infusion room and an onsite pharmacy for compounding.
- Additional services include nurse navigation and onsite Radiation Oncology.
- Work hours consist of 8‑hour shifts with a call schedule of 1:4, primarily handling critical lab calls.
- The institution provides a full spectrum of medical services, encompassing cardiology, radiology, oncology, emergency care, surgical services (including bariatric and robotic procedures), critical care, inpatient psychiatric care, wound care with hyperbaric medicine, primary care, pediatrics, obstetrics, and home health.
- Opportunities to participate in pioneering clinical trials are available.
- The center maintains a formal affiliation with Oregon Health & Sciences University.
- The ideal candidate will join a collegial environment with a high‑caliber team, including an outstanding nurse infusion staff.
- Board Eligible (within 2 years) or Board Certified in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology is mandatory.
- Oregon state licensure or willingness to obtain is required.
- Demonstrated experience in Radiation Oncology is essential and should be referenced in the application.
- Must possess a clean malpractice history and provide a NPDB self‑query report.
- DEA registration must be obtained prior to starting.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- Candidates should be Board Certified or Board Eligible as per respective specialties.
- Candidates are expected to hold a valid Oregon state license, with preference given to those with prior experience in Radiation Oncology and established ties to the state, such as family connections or previous residency.
