This position is an amazing opportunity for a board-certified endocrinologist to serve as the lead clinician in the Devoted Diabetes Clinic. Devoted Medical is building a next generation, value based, virtual-first Diabetes Clinic that will dramatically improve health outcomes on a national scale.

The Diabetes Clinic is one of several of Devoted Medical’s virtual specialty care programs that are designed as “micro centers of excellence” that deliver highly tailored, specialized care to patients with specific chronic conditions. You will provide whole-person care for and lead the clinical management of complex patients with diabetes and its associated comorbidities.

We are looking for a forward-thinking, innovative, clinically excellent endocrinologist to deliver high quality, high impact diabetes care to Devoted Health plan members with poorly controlled diabetes. You will join Devoted Medical Specialty Care as the inaugural endocrinology attending. You will join a vibrant, dynamic Devoted Medical specialty care team of around 100 health care professionals across six clinical programs, all of whom embody a culture of treating every patient like their own family.

• You believe strongly in an innovative, value-based approach to diabetes care focused on clinical quality, patient experience, shared decision making, and improved access to endocrinology services.
• You are board certified in Internal Medicine and Board Certified or Board Eligible in endocrinology (new fellowship graduates are welcome).
• You must be comfortable delivering virtual-first diabetes care through telehealth appointments, remote monitoring, in-home diagnostics, and collaboration with community primary care providers (PCPs).
• You have an agile mindset open to a high impact, novel care model which may undergo rapid iterations to achieve continued improvements in clinical and quality outcomes.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus though not required.
• Prior experience practicing in value based care models.
• Willingness to obtain licensure in all Devoted Health markets. Devoted Medical offers concierge support for the licensing process.

• You will provide best-in-class direct telehealth care in our virtual Diabetes Clinic. The breakdown of your time will approximate:
  • 80% direct diabetes care.
  • 20% clinical supervision and project-based work to help build out the Diabetes Clinic care model
• Expect ample time for visits in this value-based model with initial visits lasting 45-60 minutes.
• You will utilize and help improve our home-grown technology and electronic health information platform to carry out these visits.
• There are no in-person clinic based or hospital based responsibilities.
• Urgent calls after hours will be triaged to our 24/7 care on demand line. There are no overnight call responsibilities. You will be asked to help serve as a backup to the nurse practitioners on call for our care on demand clinic for approximately one weekend per quarter.
• While our clinic is virtual, you will partner with our care coordination team to help members access high-quality endocrinology when in-person care is required or preferred.

$250,000-$315,000 per year ; plus eligibility for disc retionary performance based bonus which will be paid out annually. Target bonus is 10%, however the actual payout is based on the terms of the bonus plan. The total compensation for this role is up to $275,000-$346,500 (base & bonus).
