- Maintain confidentiality and security of all protected health information
- Process requests for patient health information in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Ensure seamless access to protected health information and document inquiries
- Verify patient information and dates of services before releasing records
- Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding release of information questions
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in release of information
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a behavioral health medical records department or related field
- Experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in English
- Familiarity with cloud-based communication software, including Google Suite, Slack, and Zoom
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Strong attention to detail related to medical records accuracy
