Radiation Therapist (Oncology)

As a Radiation Therapist specializing in Oncology, you will deliver prescribed doses of radiation therapy to cancer patients under the supervision of a radiation oncologist. This vital role requires a high level of technical skill, compassion, and attention to detail to ensure the safe and effective treatment of patients.

• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient treatments.
• Position patients accurately for treatment delivery.
• Administer radiation therapy according to treatment plans developed by a radiation oncologist.
• Monitor patients during treatment sessions to ensure proper dosage and patient comfort.
• Collaborate with other members of the oncology team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to radiation safety protocols.
• Stay up-to-date on advances in radiation therapy techniques and technologies.

• Completion of an accredited radiation therapy program.
• ARRT certification in radiation therapy.
• State licensure as a radiation therapist.
• Prior experience in oncology radiation therapy preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
