What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the Payroll Department, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing
  • Train and develop payroll staff to resolve issues and improve processes while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
  • Resolve payroll issues and Workday system problems, collaborating with HRIS staff
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and assist with audits as needed

    Provide recommendations to management for process improvements related to payroll functions
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's Degree or its international equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resource Management, or a related field
  • 5-8 years of experience with payroll practices, procedures, and systems
  • Strong knowledge of current tax and payroll laws, along with 403b compliance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Working experience with Workday HRIS and Deltek/Costpoint Timekeeping strongly desired
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Certification as a Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
  • International payroll experience highly preferred
  • Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively
