We are seeking a highly experienced AI Engineer to join our team in developing an agentic AI solution designed to streamline and automate decision making against data lakes. This is a unique opportunity to work on a mission-critical system that leverages Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to deliver real-world impact in a regulated environment.

You will collaborate closely with architects, product managers, and engineers to design, build, and optimize AI-driven workflows that meet stringent compliance and performance requirements.

• Agentic AI Development:
  Architect and implement agent-based AI systems to manage complex, multi-step permitting workflows.
• Prompt Engineering & Orchestration:
  Design, test, and refine prompts and system instructions for LLMs to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Integration & Automation:
  Build backend services and APIs to integrate AI components with federal systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Model Evaluation & Compliance:
  Develop evaluation frameworks to monitor LLM performance, ensuring outputs meet regulatory standards.
• Scalable Architecture:
  Design solutions that are secure, cost-effective, and optimized for AWS cloud environments.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Iterate based on metrics, user feedback, and compliance audits to enhance system performance.

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python in production environments.

• Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture and cost optimization strategies.
• Familiarity with LLMs, Generative AI, and agentic AI frameworks – with emphasis on Claude and Bedrock.
• Experience with prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and vector databases.
• Familiarity with Geospatial data integration with ESRI products.
• Knowledge of federal compliance requirements and secure system design.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a distributed, remote team.

• Experience with workflow automation and orchestration tools such as salesforce.
• Background in NLP, knowledge graphs, and structured output validation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and evaluation tooling for AI systems.
