Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP) has an ambitious vision to bring a million developers onchain. We’re at the forefront of crypto innovations like onchain-capable AI agents, agentic finance, and next-generation payment solutions that are global, fast, and cost-efficient. We’re building APIs, SDKs, and other developer tools across crypto payments, trading, wallets, onchain data, AI/ML, and more. We’re a small team that moves like a startup within Coinbase with a fast pace, strong ownership culture, and a relentless commitment to delighting onchain builders.

We’re looking for a talented and crypto-forward product designer to help bring the world onchain.

• Work in a small team to iteratively improve developer experience
• Take new features from ideation, to prototyping, to user testing, to production
• Design web and mobile experiences that are simple and intuitive
• Participate in regular design reviews where you’ll seek out specific feedback on your designs and incorporate relevant feedback
• Execute on the product roadmap and help define product strategy
• Daily collaboration with Engineering, User Research, and Product

• 5+ years of professional Product Design experience
• Experience designing developer experiences for web and mobile
• Excellence in UX thinking, visual design, and written communication
• Experience working in a collaborative environment with engineers, user researchers, and product teams
• Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools, including effective use of AI in product design
• Low ego, collaborative, and open minded
• Demonstrated interest in crypto products (i.e. active user of DeFi apps, wallets, exchange(s) etc)

• Prior design experience in crypto or financial products
• Software development experience
• Startup experience

* For select roles, Coinbase is piloting an AI tool based on machine learning technologies to conduct initial screening interviews to qualified applicants. The tool simulates realistic interview scenarios and engages in dynamic conversation. Your interview responses, in the form of a voice recording and/or transcript will be assessed in terms of the job qualifications and characteristics listed in the position description above by a human recruiter.

For other select roles, Coinbase is piloting Bright Hire, an AI interview intelligence platform, to transcribe and summarize interview notes, allowing our interviewers to fully focus on you as the candidate.

Depending on your role and stage in the application process, you will be informed of the specifics regarding which tool(s) will be used as part of the interview process. These interview tools enable us to give a greater number of candidates an initial interview who meet our mandatory hiring criteria.
