The Opportunity

CACI is looking for a Business Analyst/Subject Matter Expert (SME) with an understanding of USMC Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) planning processes and strong interpersonal and communication skills to join our development team. The position is remote with possible travel to customer sites a few times annually.

Responsibilities
  • Possess an understanding of customer mission/business objectives.
  • Interface with stakeholders to identify and understand business needs and requirements.
  • Serve as the focal point for the capture, analysis, and management of functional and non‑functional systems requirements.
  • Translate and decompose requirements to support activities such as software development, functional testing, and change management.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with technical team and business owners to analyze information needs and functional requirements to deliver an effective solution.
  • Assist in reviewing and evaluating work done by the development team to ensure proper scope has been met.
  • Assist QA with functional testing, documentation, tracking defects, and trouble‑shooting defects and issues that arise during testing.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality.
  • Participate in application demonstrations and provide training to management and end users as needed.
  • Collect and analyze project metrics.
  • Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications Required
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
  • BA/BS in a related degree and 7+ years of experience performing MAGTF activities in support of the USMC; or any combination of education and experience equivalent to that background.
  • Familiarity with phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) such as requirements, development, testing, release, and deployment.
  • Excellent analytical, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and/or presentation.
  • Experience using tools that support business analysis/SME activities such as MS Office, modeling (Visio or other), and collaboration (SharePoint, JIRA, etc.).
Desired
  • Prior USMC service as an MOS 0511 MAGTF Planning Specialist utilizing JFRG.
  • Experience working in an IT software development capacity.
  • Familiarity with business analysis concepts such as requirements capture, management, and traceability.
  • Possession of relevant certification in project management or business analysis (Ex. PMP, CBAP).

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Pay Range: $63,300-$129,700
