Property Claims Assistant Manager

• Provide direct managerial oversight to the property claims team, including cyber claims
• Review claims files, analyze necessary facts, and reach out to appropriate parties for missing information
• Assign claims to handlers based on skills and experience and guide the team through complex questions of coverage and strategy
• Monitor customer service metrics and ensure compliance with claims handling best practices
• Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and assist in team member development

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
• Eight years of experience in property claims adjusting or related experience, including large and complex claims
• Attainment of all applicable state licenses as required
• Prior leadership experience
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

• Insurance designations, such as INS, AIC, and CPCU
• Advanced knowledge of insurance terms and coverages in commercial lines
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff
• Excellent ability to gather and analyze a variety of data points to triage claims handling
• Advanced investigative and problem‑solving abilities
