Role OverviewChange Leaders help implement the Continuous Improvement (CI) system in partnership with the business across New York Life to drive improvements in employee engagement, customer satisfaction, productivity, quality, and sustained change and innovation. The role lasts two years, providing extensive training and exposure to senior leaders.
What You’ll Do- Plan and own CI deployment for a department or functional area, leading a team of 3–6 Change Agents.
- Facilitate development of standards and practices, codifying knowledge to support CI deployment.
- Lead the 5 phases of a deployment:
Diagnose, Future State Design, Implementation, Replication, and Sustainability. - Coach department and functional leaders, front‑line managers, and Change Agents on the CI management system.
- Own leadership updates and progress reporting on key behavior indicators (KBIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Influence aspiration setting and broaden the reach of CI across the organization.
- Lead daily and weekly team meetings, problem‑solving sessions, and training on CI.
- Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of core Continuous Improvement concepts (Lean Management). Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- People Management: Experience leading teams of 6–12 individuals, conducting performance evaluations, and hiring as needed.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent.
- Track record of leading and developing others, with a passion for coaching.
- 6+ years of coaching and team‑management experience.
- 4+ years of group benefits experience preferred, especially long‑term/short‑term disability claims.
- Passion for driving change in how we work at New York Life.

- Remote role with expected travel roughly once a month for 2–3 days.
Salary range: $116,000–$166,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
