Overview
The Aptim Federal Services, LLC team is seeking an experienced Construction Manager for a high profile decommissioning and demolition project. The Construction Manager will lead field execution of high hazard construction work, including cutting, welding, rigging, and lifting. The role involves organizing, directing, supervising and coordinating construction activities at the job site as directed by the PM.
Responsibilities- Lead a Safety Culture in the work environment and establish project safety and quality programs
- Understand the Contract and the "as-sold" scope of work and budget; communicate them to the project team
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and control the project per APTIM policies, procedures, systems, and requirements
- Provide leadership, direction, and coordination for all project team members
- Manage risk to protect the Company from unnecessary risks
- Ensure project meets financial and cash management goals
- Identify and address potential changes to scope, schedule, or budget
- Supervise daily project activities and ensure deliverables are produced on schedule and within budget
- Develop project review materials and financial forecasting with Project Controls
- Represent the project and the company to clients and maintain client relationships
- Organize work to meet deadlines and build team effectiveness
- Mentor junior field staff
- Manage scope with change conditions or work outside of scope; advise PM & BL Managers of issues
- Support the proposal process as requested
- Manage field work within the construction budget
- Understand project metrics, production rates, and daily burn rates
- Subcontract/Vendor management and reporting requirements
- Assist in developing estimates and proposals
- Minimum 15+ years of construction management experience
- Typically manages fixed-price projects/programs up to $25M and cost-reimbursable projects/programs up to $50M
- Bachelor’s degree or professional registration/certification preferred
- 40 Hr. HAZWOPER with refreshers
- First aid/CPR
- Computer skills (Office, Adobe, etc.)
- Strong verbal and writing skills
- Ability to gain and maintain access to government facilities through background investigations, if necessary

Pay As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range is $54.03 - $65.00 per hour. Compensation depends on experience, education, key skills, location, client requirements, market competitiveness, and internal equity.
