• Identify new story opportunities to enhance brand awareness with media outlets
• Develop and manage content for media and external audiences, including news stories and releases
• Respond to media inquiries promptly and effectively
• Monitor news coverage related to the employer and healthcare issues
• Maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders for successful collaboration

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in media relations
• Strong professional writing skills demonstrated by a portfolio
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and visual software programs
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written

• Experience in healthcare communications
• Advanced writing and editing skills
• Technical writing experience
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion
• Strong decision-making and problem-resolution skills
