About the Role

Step into a profoundly meaningful role as a Registered Nurse in Hospice, with a dedicated opportunity in Coos Bay, Oregon, beginning 01/05/2026. Imagine walking beside patients and their families at one of life’s most intimate moments, guiding care with compassion, expertise, and respect. This is more than a job—it's a chance to shape comfort, dignity, and quality of life for those navigating the end‑of‑life journey.

In this hospice setting, you’ll blend clinical precision with empathetic presence, ensuring comfort, symptom management, and clear communication across care teams. Beyond the bedside, you’ll witness Oregon’s beauty as part of your daily life: dramatic coastlines, pristine forests, and vibrant coastal communities inspire resilience, reflection and balanced living—whether you’re strolling the beach in Coos Bay, admiring the Cape Arago sunsets or exploring nearby state and national parks during your downtime.

Environment

The region’s maritime culture, accessible healthcare networks, and welcoming neighborhoods create an environment where you can deliver extraordinary hospice care while enjoying a high quality of life. For those who crave variety, this program also presents opportunities to work in multiple locations across the United States, expanding your bedside repertoire, exposing you to diverse patient populations, and enriching your professional perspective.

You’ll find advantages in this geography that support sustained performance: a reasonable cost of living, supportive local resources, and the sense that you’re part of a tight‑knit team that cares as much about your well‑being as your patients. The option to travel to different sites means you can broaden your clinical skills and build connections across a national network, all while maintaining a stable schedule and a robust sense of purpose.

and Benefits

In this Hospice RN role, you’ll be at the heart of patient‑centered care. Key responsibilities include comprehensive symptom assessment and management, pain control, spiritual and emotional support for patients and families, and the development and ongoing refinement of individualized care plans. You’ll coordinate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and holistic comfort.

Documentation will be precise and timely, with a focus on quality metrics, compliance with regulatory standards, and continuous improvement. You’ll lead patient and family education on medication use, caregiving techniques, and at‑home safety, while anticipating and mitigating potential crises. The role offers meaningful growth within hospice, enhancing clinical judgment, communication skills, and leadership capabilities as you mentor less experienced staff and contribute to care policy discussions.

Competitive benefits accompany this workload, including a relocation‑agnostic bonus where applicable, housing assistance, and contract extensions that recognize your reliability and impact. You’ll also enjoy the benefits of a guaranteed 40 hours per week with weekly pay in the range of $2,276 to $2,452, helping you plan your finances with confidence.
