Shift: Night Shift 12-36

Hours per pay period: 72

Pay: $47.82 – $71.26 USD per hour

Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). Within RN scope of practice as defined by Oregon State Board of Nursing, applies the nursing process to the care of patients. Teaches patients and significant others. Documents patient care in the medical record. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to effectively coordinate overall care of the patient.

• Readable, legible writing and effective English communication.
• Critical thinking and problem solving.
• Flexible, able to prioritize and adapt to rapidly changing unit needs.
• Effective teaching skills.
• Respond effectively to patient crisis/emergency.
• Proficient computer use including internet, word processing, EMR documentation.
• Maintain regular, consistent, punctual attendance.

• Registered Nurse license in Oregon.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) card or must be obtained by the last day of the month after the 6 month grace period.

• Recent (within past 5 years) acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Acute care hospital experience in past two years or intermediate/progressive care experience preferred.

• Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, stretch frequently.
• May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and body fluids.
• Ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, speaking in person or on telephone.
• Requires frequent use of personal computer.
• Must demonstrate manual dexterity.
