Join a supportive acute-care hospital team as a Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse on a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Coos Bay, Oregon. Provide high-quality care on 12-hour night shifts while enjoying the beaches, forests, and outdoor recreation of Oregon’s southern coast.
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,180–$2,290
- Start Date: October 1, 2026
- End Date: December 31, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Openings: 1
- Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Recent acute-care hospital nursing experience within the past five years required
- Less than one year of experience may be considered for qualified candidates
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required or must be obtained within six months, as applicable to the assigned unit
- Med/Surg, telemetry, critical care, or emergency department experience preferred
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds when required by patient-care duties
- Completion of organization-approved workplace violence prevention training by the applicable deadline
- Strong patient assessment, communication, teamwork, clinical judgment, and documentation skills
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients during overnight shifts
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, patient status, and responses to treatment
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and facility policies
- Perform focused and comprehensive nursing assessments, identify changes in condition, and elevate concerns promptly
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate individualized patient care
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and clinical documentation
- Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, infection prevention, and evidence-based nursing practice
- Support a respectful, collaborative, and patient-centered care environment
