What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Meet and exceed projected sales goals based on territory quota established by sales management
  • Utilize a disciplined approach to uncover and meet customer needs
  • Maintain a territory call cycle on new accounts to drive sales growth
  • Develop new business within the assigned geographic territory
  • Prepare account business plans and execute effective call cycle plans to grow territory business
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Technical degree, preferably a PhD in Physics, with a focus on photonics/optics
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in B2B sales in the engineered product space
  • Proven experience working with OEMs to create custom solutions
  • Ability to leverage sales data to influence internal stakeholders regarding customer needs
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Strong technical proficiency with Novanta products and competitive offerings
  • Background in optical technology and related fields
