Key Responsibilities
  • Safety leadership: Run weekly toolbox talks; complete daily JHAs and required permits (hot work, confined space, arc-flash); report incidents/near misses; maintain PPE and first-aid readiness.
  • Field execution & coordination: Plan and direct mechanical install activities; sequence work with electrical, pneumatics, fire systems, painting/striping, and data/networking teams; execute punch lists and drive to substantial completion.
  • Subcontractor & vendor management: Assign work, set expectations, verify quality, and enforce standards with subs and third-party vendors.
  • Logistics & site services: Coordinate rental equipment (forklifts, cranes, lifts), dumpsters/recycling, toilets/wash stations, safety fencing/screens, tooling, fuel, and expendables with the LPS Field Coordinator.
  • Material control: Receive/document deliveries, manage inventory and quality, track locations/usage, coordinate outbound shipments, and maintain 100% material accountability.
  • Progress tracking & reporting: Capture percent complete, crew schedules/restrictions, and daily work details; submit daily reports (progress, changes, issues, manpower, visitors, materials received) to the LPS Mechanical Installation Manager; keep routine progress photos.
  • Quality & compliance: Own installation quality (self-performed and subcontracted); enforce Fortna/customer specs and OSHA/industry standards; complete mechanical redlines and hand back to engineering at closeout.
  • Inspections & closeout: Host AHJ/building/electrical/fire inspections; close permits; drive final completion and cost control.
Required Qualifications
