• Write code and tests, build prototypes, and tackle performance-related problems
• Analyze performance bottlenecks and develop solutions across a mature codebase
• Utilize various programming languages, particularly C++, to fix performance issues
• Educate other engineers on writing performant code through reviews and documentation
• Collaborate with team members to enhance the performance of the Firefox browser

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Strong working experience and understanding of C++
• Proven experience in developing performance-critical software
• Strong debugging skills in analyzing performance issues
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed team with strong communication skills

• Experience with multithreading, concurrency, disk I/O, and GPU
• Familiarity with application programming, profiling, and debugging for Android or Windows OS
