Experts of store process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store.

As a General Merchandise Expert, you will have the opportunity to develop skills such as knowledge of guest service fundamentals, experience in retail business fundamentals, and experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.
• Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Execute daily tasks assigned to you by your leader to help achieve goals that align with business priorities.
• Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified.
• Execute processes including changing prices to products, merchandise set-up and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed by your leader.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner and comply with all safety policies and training.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes.
