Order Management Specialist - Columbia, MD or Coppell, TX
We're looking for a detail-oriented, customer-focused Order Management Specialist to join our team in the Columbia, Maryland and DFW areas. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive customer service attitude, and possess the ability to work independently while playing an active role in a cohesive team environment. This is a hybrid position requiring occasional time in the office.
YourTasks
- Process a wide variety of customer orders utilizing various methods and meeting all requirements.
- Nontechnical support of internal and external customers in regard to order fulfilment and order tracking.
- Coordinate with counterparts in Germany (Global HQ) on delivery schedules, pricing, and order requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate the order process, achieve joint goals, and solve problems related to order processing. These teams include Finance, Service, Contracts, Collections, and others.
- Take ownership of complete order cycle, ensuring quality and efficiency through the entire process.
- Special projects related to order processing and general lean process improvements.
- BA/BS in Business Administration, Accounting, Operations, or other relevant field.
- Familiarity with SAP or other major ERP system a plus.
- Understanding of basic business operations as well as basic knowledge of finance related to AR and AP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables and basic formulas).
- Strong communication skills via email and phone.
- Extremely detail oriented and effective organizational skills.
- Ability to self-manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to root cause issues.
- Process oriented with interest in continuous improvement and learning.
- To be considered, candidates must be located in the US and have valid US work authorization.
