About the Role

The Relationship Banker is responsible for contributing to the overall success of a Retail Banking Center(s) by delivering customer‑centric solutions that drive revenue growth through loans, deposits and non‑interest income, while maintaining disciplined operational objectives. The role includes a strong focus on marketing activities, customer experience management, operational risk, and partnership with internal and external stakeholders. This position supports Banking Centers within the district and may require occasional Saturdays.

Position

Responsibilities Marketing Activities
  • Execute proactive marketing activities for customer attraction, retention, and expansion.
  • Complete assigned daily planning activities.
  • Provide effective customer onboarding and engagement by strengthening new and existing relationships, introducing products and services, answering questions, and following up timely.
  • Transition customers to digital solutions as a digital ambassador.
  • Initiate financial‑wellness conversations to add value to customer relationships.
  • Support portfolio management efforts to retain, expand and increase the number of portfolio customers.
  • Assist in community outreach events to foster new business relationships.
  • Utilize Converge for customer relationship management effectively.
Operational Risk
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Comerica policies.
  • Complete required compliance‑related training.
  • Impact operational and risk outcomes for the retail banking role.
  • Adhere to Banking Center Risk Assessment and Compliance Standards.
  • Mitigate losses by following established policies and procedures.
Customer Experience Management
  • Develop in‑depth knowledge of consumer and small‑business products and services.
  • Lead and oversee banking center activities in the absence of the Banking Manager.
  • Consistently assess needs and add value to customers and prospects.
  • Educate and fulfill routine and complex customer requests.
  • Resolve customer complaints.
  • Deepen existing relationships and add value to them.
  • Apply customer‑experience guidelines and behavioral feedback as needed.
  • Complete Comerica Platform Training Program.
  • Provide remarkable customer service across all interactions including opening new accounts, problem resolution, telephone service, safe deposit access, etc.
  • Perform routine teller transactions when required.
  • Maintain customer confidentiality and protect bank operations.
Partnership
  • Improve collaboration across the Banking Center.
  • Identify opportunities to add value to customers through partner introductions.
Position Qualifications
  • Associate Degree from an accredited college OR 60 college credits OR H.S. Diploma/GED plus 3 years of customer service experience.
  • 1 year of customer service experience.
  • 1 year of consumer sales experience.
  • 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Category A – 100% in‑office.

Hours:

8:30 am‑5:30 pm Monday‑Friday; 8:30 am‑12:30 pm Saturday (scheduled). Salary:
To be determined based on experience.
