The Supplier Quality Surveillance Engineer is responsible supporting Procurement in the implementation and execution of Procurement Supplier Quality Inspections and audits.
What you'll doPerform basic to moderately complex quality assurance and quality control shop inspections and audits to ensure critical materials and engineered equipment purchased meet or exceed our customer's and contract quality and workmanship expectations
Assist in ensuring the subcontracts or corporate agreements for goods and services meet Rosendin Procurement quality standards and customer's expectations
Require a working core understanding of Rosendin electrical equipment and materials related to fabrication, testing, and functionality
Independently read, understand, and analyze basic foundational equipment specifications, drawings, and provide feedback in regard to recommended supplier testing and inspections
Report to management and Project personnel about manufacturing problems, and
assist in identifying root cause issues and feedback on corrective resolutions to these problemsCommunicate inspection and audit results, both verbally and written, and recommend
corrective actionsHave a thorough knowledge of Procurement quality procedures, documents, and
reporting structuresxAssist Rosendin Procurement in Supplier/Subcontractor prequalification by providing
input on the fabricator's quality program by performing basic to moderately complex supplier audits/assessments.Provide support to Divisions and projects in overseeing fabricator and subcontractor
quality as neededReview basic to moderately complex Supplier/Subcontractor Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and assist in developing corrective action plans. Coordinate with Quality Managers to support approve final disposition and sign off NCR's
Provide input to Rosendin Procurement in rating the overall quality performance of
suppliers and subcontractorsSupport effective supplier and cross-functional relationships, partnership, and collaboration
Assist in program, process, and policy improvement support and feedback
Skilled in written and verbal communications to include
documentation of pre-fabrication meetings, updating pre-fabrication checklists, writing
basic to moderately complex inspection/audit reportsPerform other duties as assigned
Required Electrical Engineering degree with comparable direct experience/degree/certification follows:
4 years applicable work experience in professional supplier quality
2 years applicable work experience in professional supplier quality with 2-year technical/associate's degree in electrical technology
0-1 years applicable work experience with 4-year bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
Broad working knowledge of all design/craft disciplines and engineered equipment/materials associated with renewable energy and electrical projects and must be familiar with their special processes, inspection, and testing techniques
Must be familiar with electrical procurement and vendor surveillance procedures as well as working knowledge of construction industry codes and standards related to the manufacture and testing of electrical components/systems such as IEEE, IECC, NEC, NFPA, NESC, IBC, IFC, etc.)
Be detail oriented, Effective time management and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Must be team player but able to work independently, to meet intense deadlines, goals and objectives
The position may require up to 85% travel and may require occasional travel outside of the USA
