YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY :
The BIM Modeler III is responsible for providing modeling efforts for both project delivery and standards. This role involves leading the production team, creating most of the drawings for a project, and functioning as a Model Manager. The Modeler will need to efficiently supervise modeling and documenting projects.
WHAT YOU'LL DO :
- Work with Family Development Team to revise standards or meet project needs.
- Create project-specific families for projects they lead.
- Lead and supervise modeling and documentation of projects.
- Schedule and assign work to meet project deadlines.
- Clean and purge background drawings/models for use in REI models.
- Create Rosendin Revit models using backgrounds from other trades.
- Collaborate with project Coordinators and Detailers.
- Supervise the layout and input of marked-up drawings into Revit according to REI Standards.
- Review others' work for accuracy before passing it to the project team.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to non-disclosure requirements.
The duties described are general; other duties may be assigned based on the role within the business.
WHAT YOU BRING TO US :
- Associate degree in Computerized Drafting or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience with electrical symbols, drafting conventions, and standards.
- Combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL :
- Advanced knowledge of modeling software, including creating and manipulating Revit families, views, sheets, etc.
- Ability to interpret verbal and written directions into design documents.
- Understanding of REI BIM processes and workflows.
- Skills in creating parametric families, schedules, and complex geometry.
- Proficiency in Revit, reading 2D plans, and 3D modeling.
- Experience with Autodesk Navisworks, Design Review.
- Knowledge of 3D layout and design.
- Ability to transmit documents electronically and manage printing systems.
- Experience importing various documents into Revit projects.
- Strong proofreading and work-sharing skills in Revit.
- Understanding of 3D coordination with other trades.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Oracle (preferred).
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and communicate effectively.
- Self-motivated, proactive, team-oriented.
- Effective interaction with all organizational levels, vendors, clients.
TRAVEL : Up to 20%
WORKING CONDITIONS :
- Indoor work environment with varying conditions, some outdoor job site exposure.
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
