Business Unit Controller - Rochester Sensors

Direct financial and accounting for Rochester Sensors. Support/assist international accounting functions, timely/accurate financial reporting, productivity improvements, maintain sound controllership and compliance practices, provide business analytics and direction as a key business leader.

• BS in Accounting or Finance or 5-7 years relevant experience.
• Lead in a decentralized global environment, work under pressure with high degree of accuracy and with frequent interruptions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong diplomacy, and critical thinking skills.
• MBA preferred.

• Develop/administer operating procedures for payroll, AP, AR, cost accounting, credit, collections, billing.
• Maintain internal accounting control system ensuring integrity of financial data.
• Prepare/submit corporate financial documents/reports required by local, state, and federal governments.
• Provide consultation for financial analysis of programs/proposals.
• Manage decentralized global finance team and drive team to meet deadlines.
• Translate business strategy/operational results and recommend changes to improve results.
• Acquisition assessment/integration.
• Provide business analytics and reporting to cross‑functional team.
• Establish/administer annual operating budget.
• Lead monthly financial close/forecasting, capital improvements, budget creation, strategy planning.
• Participate in operations goal achievement, assess progress and advise.
• Identify and drive business performance: revenue growth, operating income, ROS.
• Implement programs to achieve cash flow objectives.
• Follow company practices, policies, and procedures.
• Partner with the GM.
