Responsibilities:

  • Manage the complete payroll process, including importing, proofing, editing, and processing payroll records.
  • Calculate wages, deductions, reimbursements, bonuses, and commissions in compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws.
  • Process new hires, approvals of electronic change forms for wage changes, terminations, and other status changes.
  • File completed payroll summaries and submit wage garnishments to the HRIS team or other system-based tasks.
  • Stay current on changes in federal, state, and local payroll regulations to ensure compliance and review company policies regularly.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and communicate internally with post‑payroll reporting.
  • Administer the 401(k) plan, including associate enrollments, deferment files, funding, annual audits, and responding to participant inquiries.
  • Assist with the Annual Performance Appraisal process.
  • Respond to routine payroll inquiries such as wage garnishments, fringe benefits, direct deposit, and employment verifications.
  • Assist with initial hiring/onboarding tasks: I‑9 completion, background checks, eVerify processing, and assignment of electronic files.
  • Periodically participate in associate relations discussions or investigations.
  • May assist with recruitment activities, including application review and phone screens.
  • Gather and analyze payroll metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure seamless onboarding and off‑boarding of associates while meeting all compliance requirements.
  • Prepare and submit year‑end checklist, W‑2s, and other required reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
