We are seeking a highly experienced Data Steward / Data Governance Leader to drive data governance, quality, and stewardship initiatives within the retail customer data domain. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and usability of Customer, Marketing, and Loyalty data while providing strategic guidance and leadership across the organization, including presentations to executive leadership.

• Lead data stewardship and data governance initiatives within the retail customer data domain
• Oversee data quality management processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data
• Manage and utilize data governance and catalog tools such as Collibra, Alation, or similar platforms
• Define and maintain data standards, policies, and best practices across Customer, Marketing, and Loyalty data
• Analyze complex datasets to derive insights and make data-driven recommendations
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand data flows, systems, and processes
• Provide leadership and guidance on product hierarchy structures across physical stores and eCommerce platforms
• Present findings, strategies, and recommendations to senior leadership and C‑suite stakeholders

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in data stewardship or data governance roles, preferably within the retail industry
• Strong understanding of Customer, Marketing, and Loyalty data, systems, processes, and data flows in a retail environment
• Hands‑on experience with data governance and data quality tools such as Collibra, Alation, or similar platforms
• Knowledge of product hierarchy structures across brick‑and‑mortar and eCommerce channels
• Proven leadership presence with experience presenting to executive and C‑suite audiences
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
• Preferred:
  Understanding of Data Catalog, Data Quality, and Metadata Management concepts
• Preferred:
  Technical skills in Python
