Vari is looking for a QA Engineer to support our quality assurance efforts within our Technology Team.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our customer-facing eCommerce platforms, AI-powered applications, and enterprise systems. You will execute test strategies and help build automated test suites that enable our team to deliver high-quality software rapidly and confidently.

The Opportunity

As the primary QA team member on a lean, high-impact team, you'll contribute to our testing efforts and help strengthen our QA practices. This role is critical to supporting our AI and automation strategy, ensuring that our innovative solutions meet the highest standards of quality before reaching our customers.

This is an opportunity to grow as a QA professional on a forward-thinking technology team. You'll contribute to our testing processes, participate in tool selection decisions, and help build out our test automation infrastructure within our existing tech stack and workflows. You’ll work across our entire technology stack from customer-facing eCommerce sites to internal enterprise systems to cutting‑edge AI agents.

You must also be able to work on-site in Coppell, TX on a hybrid schedule. Relocation Assistance is not available for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications, APIs, AI agents, and enterprise systems across our technology portfolio.
  • Design, build, and maintain automated test suites using industry‑standard tools (Selenium, Playwright, or similar) to enable continuous integration and automated regression testing.
  • Conduct functional, integration, API, performance, and user acceptance testing across eCommerce platforms, Salesforce CRM, SAP S4 HANA, and custom‑developed applications.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, advocating for quality and working with developers to understand root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Contribute to QA best practices, standards, and documentation to support a scalable quality framework as the team grows.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement new testing tools, methodologies, and AI‑powered solutions to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and speed.
  • Partner with stakeholders across eCommerce, Customer Experience, Sales, and Operations to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
Qualifications Required
  • 2-3 years of hands‑on experience in software quality assurance and testing, including both manual and automated testing.
  • Experience testing web applications and eCommerce platforms, with a solid understanding of user experience, checkout flows, and business logic.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar technologies, with the ability to build and maintain automated test suites.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, API, and exploratory testing.
  • Knowledge of SQL and ability to perform database testing and data validation.
  • Proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar, with understanding of RESTful APIs and integration testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and a passion for quality.
