Membership Director, Grand Prairie YMCA

We are currently seeking a Membership Director who will build relationships with their team, meet members from diverse backgrounds, and manage the membership experiences and activities within the branch.

The role requires a passion for bringing people together and fostering a strong community to build strong kids, families, and adults.

As Membership Director, you will manage membership-related experiences while supervising an 11–15 person team of part‑time Member Services Representatives. Working with the Executive Director, you will build the department budget, meet monthly sales goals, provide administrative support for the annual fundraising campaign, and ensure the branch is represented by staff on the Association Member Service Delivery team.

• Oversee all membership branch operations.
• Create promotional activities designed to attract and retain new members.
• Supervise 11–15 part‑time member services professionals and handle staffing, scheduling, membership issues, and reports.
• Collaborate with marketing to drive new member sales, membership promotion, and member appreciation activities.
• Create, foster, and maintain a welcoming membership environment for current and prospective members.
• Lead membership sales and retention, team hiring, and development, community outreach programs, and YMCA presence at community events.
• Serve as team lead for the Annual Fundraising Campaign.
• Implement all YMCA policies and procedures for risk management and safety for staff, volunteers, and participants.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or four years of equivalent experience in customer service.
• Demonstrated experience in attracting and retaining members.
• Knowledge of member engagement strategies.
• Knowledge of cross promotion, team leadership, youth & teen fitness, and membership retention.
• Experience supervising, training, and motivating team members.
• Dynamic leadership with an engaging personality, willing to build relationships with guests or members about the benefits of the YMCA.
