Production Maintenance Supervisor – SPERTON - Where Great People Meet

Location: Coppell, Texas

Reporting To: Manager/Sr Director Production Tech Support

Work Hours: Monday‑Friday, 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM (off‑peak); 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (on‑peak)

Eligible for annual bonus.

• Provides direction and mechanical support to all production mechanics as required. Monitors all work in progress ensuring a constant production workflow is maintained and equipment repairs are completed in a timely fashion.
• Maintains parts inventory for all equipment by providing a complete list of parts to be ordered, including vendor cost for each part.
• Monitors records of preventive maintenance performed on equipment and ensures maintenance occurs according to scheduled deadlines.
• Stays informed of all new technology and equipment used by the technical support and production operations departments.
• Fills in and assumes all management responsibilities in the Department Manager’s absence.
• Accountable for meeting or exceeding Cost Per Unit targets on shift (labor costs, overtime, inventory control, etc.).
• Monitors and maximizes machine throughput.
• Verifies work is filled out properly, monitoring and following departmental procedures.
• Rewards, recognizes, and disciplines associates.
• Maintains all records pertaining to department personnel under individual report.

• Associate’s degree or Technical/Trade School.
• 5+ years’ experience in the operation and repair of production equipment.
• Proficiency in the operation and repair of insertion and bindery equipment, electronic and electric circuit experience necessary.
• Electrical and electronics repair a plus.
• Knowledge, understanding, and experience of reporting tools Jet/IQ.
• 1+ year(s) minimum supervisory experience in a high‑volume production environment.
