Position Summary
Data Projections, Inc. is seeking to add to our Dallas/DFW Sales Team an energetic, success-oriented sales professional with a strong ethic to identify and properly qualify business opportunities with existing and new customers primarily for the education vertical (K-12 & secondary education).
Position will cover the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex region.
The Account Executive is responsible for consulting with clients to obtain pertinent information about their communication needs to determine the most viable solution that allows them to communicate more efficiently and cost-effectively.
Position Responsibilities
- Achieve/exceed established sales targets.
- Identify and properly qualify business opportunities with new and existing customers.
- Consult with clients to obtain pertinent information about their communication needs to determine the most viable solution that allows them to communicate more efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide background information to recommend tailored communication solutions.
- Set clear expectations about the full sales cycle with the client from start to finish.
- Work closely with internal personnel to prepare quotes, process orders, and support customer requests efficiently.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor standings.
- Develop and manage sales funnel, analyze pipeline activity, and monitor sales against quotas.
- Represent Data Projections at conferences and trade shows as needed.
- Provide after-sales support and customer satisfaction assurance in collaboration with installation teams.
- Maintain CRM system.
- Assist in collections of past-due accounts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Certification And/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required. Additional related experience can substitute for education.
5+ years outside sales experience with a proven track record in strategic selling and account management in a technology industry preferred.
Qualifications
- Expertise in solution selling to verticals like Education, Healthcare, Oil & Gas, Financial, Higher Education, Government preferred.
- Self-motivated, competitive, with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain enterprise-level customer relationships.
- Consultative sales skills including cold calling, proposal development, and closing.
- Excellent time management and business acumen.
- Relationship selling skills.
- Experience with A/V or interactive technology sales is a plus.
- Strong networking, communication, and public speaking skills.
- Organizational, prospecting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM.
- Negotiation experience with large deals.
- Ability to travel regionally as needed.
- AVIXA CTS certification is a plus.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass background checks.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods, especially during presentations and trade shows.
- Dexterity for operating office equipment.
