Summary

Enertech Tower Hands support all aspects of telecommunications installation including erection, construction, and maintenance of towers and structures. This is a safety-sensitive position with daily objectives that include ensuring work is performed in accordance with all safety and quality guidelines and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform work on the tower ensuring a safe, quality installation – rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, load hopping, etc.
  • Install equipment including masts, clamping, bracing, supports, antennas, RRUs, cabling, bolting, and assist in shooting proper azimuth within tolerances; document tasks and gather all closeout documents.
  • Under instruction of Tower Crew Leader, perform coax, fiber, lines, and hybrid cable installations, connector installation, sweep and testing assistance, weatherproofing, color‑coding, labeling, and connect coax feedlines and jumpers per piping diagrams.
  • Complete grounding, terminations, fastening, proper bolting, antioxidant use, and cad welding as required.
  • Assist in the assembly of monopole, self‑support guyed towers, and rooftops.
  • Assist in transmission line and installation work.
  • Assist with daily job responsibilities including maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and tool inventory.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Successful completion of Competent Climber Certification, Tower Safety & Rescue Certification.
  • CPR/First Aid Course Certification.
  • OSHA 10‑hour or OSHA 30‑hour Certifications a plus.
  • RF Awareness Certification a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, and testing procedures.
  • Ability to operate aerial lifts, man lifts, and aerial platform equipment a plus.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment and independently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must pass pre‑employment screening that includes background and drug testing.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to climb and perform work at various heights, up to 500 feet, for long periods.
  • Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs (including body weight, equipment, tools, and boxes).
  • Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Must meet the physical requirements set forth in ANSI Z359 for fall protection gear.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time position with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with overtime requirements.

Travel

Extensive travel is required. Must be willing to travel out of market/state for up to several weeks at a time (up to 90 %).

Required Education And Experience
  • High School diploma or GED; related trade school education preferred.
  • One to three years of experience in climbing towers, stacking, rigging, etc.
