OverviewBlue Yonder’s Platform Data Cloud team’s mission is to reimagine the supply chain technology and serve as the backbone of Blue Yonder’s SaaS products. The role serves as one of the key global architects focused on innovation in SaaS platform engineering, spanning infrastructure architecture through enterprise, application platform features, to accelerate our cloud data team’s delivery and solution quality.
Responsibilities- Consistently deliver solid quality in both design and implementation and help shape what is built how.
- Build productionized data ingestion and processing pipelines in Snowflake.
- Apply knowledge of Snowflake Architecture, data warehousing concepts, and Snowflake features.
- Drive innovation and improve delivery effectiveness across product development, deployment, and infrastructure consistency.
- Provide standardized enterprise solutions for cloud infrastructure and application deployment across multiple products.
- Apply software engineering patterns using a meta-driven systems approach to build robust and scalable systems.
- Expertise in Object‑Oriented and Functional programming for developing Blue Yonder products.
- Provide insightful feedback on software designs and implementations.
- Design and scale large‑scale Kubernetes systems and modular, service‑based architecture.
- Collaborate with a global team across the US, Canada, India, and Germany.
- Application Architecture:
Scalable, resilient, event‑driven, secure multi‑tenant microservices. - Cloud Architecture:
Microsoft Azure (ARM templates, AKS, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD). - Frameworks/Others:
Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, No
SQL, RDBMS, Spring Boot, Snowflake.
Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (REQUIRED).
12–15 years of software development experience, with 5+ years of Snowflake data engineering experience.
Must Have Skills- Expertise with Snowflake Architecture – Compute/Storage/Cloud Services.
- Advanced SQL writing.
- Bulk data copy using Snowflake/Snowpipe/Tasks/Streams.
- Time travel, Zero Copy cloning, optimizer, metadata manager.
- Role‑based access control (RBAC).
- Data sharing/marketplace/listings/data exchanges.
- Disaster recovery – replication/failovers.
- Performance optimization.
- Stored procedures, UDFs, and external functions.
- Python or Streamlit for data apps & automation.
- Snowflake Admin activities.
- Streamlit development experience.
- Understanding of cost chargebacks in Snowflake.
- JSON flattening experience.
- SnowSQL / SnowCLI / Snowsight knowledge.
- Snowflake Architect Certification (preferred).
- Experience building robust, highly available, scalable data lakes.
- Experience with continuous integration, build/test automation, cross‑platform stacks, containerization.
- Experience in Azure, AWS, or GCP public cloud stacks.
- Strong analytical skills for complex problem solving.
- Agile leadership and delivery of complex software products.
- Leadership experience building and motivating high‑performing teams.
- Experience with enterprise multi‑tenant software.
USD 122,219 – 189,615 (annual). Additional compensation may vary by location. Eligibility for performance bonus or commission program.
