Experienced Bookkeeper (Contract – Immediate Start)

2+ Month Contract | Monday – Thursday 9-5 | Hands-On Accounting Role

Coquitlam Location

$27 - 32 per hour

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper for an immediate contract opportunity expected to run for 2 months or longer. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cleaning up reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, and mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Performing high-volume bank reconciliations

Completing Visa/credit card reconciliations

Preparing and filing GST returns

Assisting with year-end adjustments and accounting preparation

Reviewing bookkeeping accuracy and resolving discrepancies

Providing guidance and training to a junior bookkeeper

Supporting the team with general bookkeeping and accounting tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For:

Strong bookkeeping experience with a solid understanding of accounting principles

Proven experience with reconciliations and GST filings

Comfortable handling year-end working papers and adjustments

Ability to identify issues, problem-solve, and work independently

Patient and professional communicator with mentoring experience preferred

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Available to start immediately

Preferred Qualifications

Strong experience with Quick Books accounting software a must

Formal bookkeeping/accounting education or certification considered an asset

Experience working with multiple accounts or entities is a bonus

Mentoring experience an asset
