- Salary: $45,000 – $50,000 per year
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper / Office Assistant to join our growing team. This role focuses primarily on Accounts Receivable and core bookkeeping tasks—such as bank entries and EDI data processing—while providing occasional light administrative support.
The ideal candidate is accountable, takes full ownership of their work, and thrives in a positive, team-oriented environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring our financial processes remain accurate and efficient as we continue to scale.
Key Responsibilities- Accounts Receivable: Record payments, follow up with customers on outstanding balances, and prepare cheque deposits.
- Data Management: Enter EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transactions accurately and within established timelines.
- Collections: Apply effective collection practices to maintain healthy cash flow and support company financial goals.
- Reconciliations: Record and reconcile daily bank transactions.
- Cross-Departmental Support: Liaise with Production and Logistics teams to ensure billing accuracy; provide backup support for payment runs and invoicing as needed.
- Office Administration: Greet visitors, answer and direct phone calls, and manage e-filing.
- Organization: Perform general administrative duties including document organization and specialized accounting projects as assigned.
- Education: Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or Office Administration.
- Experience: 1–3 years of related experience in accounting or bookkeeping (experience in manufacturing or distribution is a strong asset).

Proficiency in Quick Books Desktop is preferred; strong Microsoft Excel skills and general computer literacy are required. - Soft Skills: A proactive work style with the ability to work independently, excellent attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
